Hey y’all! This week I thought I would do something I’ve never done before, have a coffee date with y’all and catch up. So grab your favorite cuppa (I have a caffeine free herbal tea) and let’s go!

The Fort Worth update.
Brady and I have now been here about 10 months and boy do I love this city more and more every single day! From exploring new areas to finding local favorites like Craftwork Coffee (where these pictures were taken), Yogis, and Panther City salon, it’s really starting to feel like home here. One thing I really prayed for when we moved was to find a great church that was close to where we lived. And wouldn’t you know Christ Chapel Bible Church is less than 5 minutes from our house! I absolutely love this church and it’s people. If you’re looking for a church in the Fort Worth area, I cannot recommend it enough.

The Pregnancy Update.
I cannot believe I have my 20 week pregnancy appointment this upcoming week. Time is flying by and I finally have a bump worth showing off. I’ve been working like a mad woman trying to get loads done for work this summer so that this fall I can concentrate on all things baby preparation. The pesky morning sickness is finally gone (praise Jesus) and I’m feeling much more energetic. Brady and I have a big ultrasound next week which means, drumroll, there will be a gender announcement! It’s so fun to have everyone guess so if you have one I’d love to hear it in the comments.

The House Update.
I’m almost done decorating our little house! It’s taken forever, I know, but it can be so difficult when you’re working full time and traveling like a gypsy and growing a baby. And if you follow me on twitter you know we had a setback with the paint saga of 2018. (Brady has now taken over paint color consultation as I have lost all credibility with my “dover white” debacle).  While it’s almost perfect, I’ve hit pause until I can go to Texas Antiques Week in Round Top. I’m planning on getting some one of a kind finishing touches as well as some unique pieces for Baby Brown’s nursery! Has anyone ever been? I’d love to hear your advice as I know it can be a really daunting week. Luckily I’ve talked my mama into coming with me so it should be a lovely girls trip.

The Show Update.
We’ve been working like mad on the summer “tour schedule” which is how I’ve been referring to our episode shooting schedule. Old habits die hard and since we’ve always referred to my dad’s travel schedule as his tour schedule, it’s what I accidentally say all of the time. So much so that it’s kinda sticking. The show is going where we’ve never gone before and have some really fun things lined up that I cannot wait to share with y’all. We’re in the process of finishing up all of the shooting right now so make sure and follow my instagram to get a sneak peak as to what we’ll be up to this fall season.

The Learning Update.
I just finished reading Bob Goff’s new book “Everybody, Always.” Run, don’t walk to the bookstore to pick this one up. It’s so simple and poignant and it’s really changing the way I think about loving others and loving God. I make it much harder than it need to be. Sometimes a smile and hello to someone others look away from is enough. Or a conversation with someone who is standing by themselves. It’s that simple, really. Jesus made people feel welcome just as they were, and that’s our job as well. To everybody, always. That’s what I’ve been learning this summer and really trying to practice, being someone who makes others feel welcome. No matter where I am. The grocery store or airport are great places to practice.

*Side note: my glasses are blue blocking glasses from Eye Buy Direct. Blue blocking glasses help to limit the amount of blue light given off by your computer screen or phone or tablet. If you, like me, suffer from headaches after being on your computer all day, these are your new best friend. And they’re currently having a sale of 20% of site-wide! Here is a link to the exact style I’m wearing.

My guess on the bump, I believe you will be having a beautiful healthy and talented baby human. Hey am I right or what! I love your tv show and a fan of your Dad’s band for many many years. The first time I saw them in person was at a school in New Castle Indiana. Loved those curls, I had a front row seat because there were very few people there when I got there early. So glad you are making Mark a grandpa. Myself I’m a great grandma of three. There is nothing sweeter than a baby and nothing more tiring, so get plenty of rest before he or she gets here. Take care love.

Bob Goff spoke at my church a few months back. He was great! Went out and bought “Love Does” and “Everybody, Always”. Can’t wait to read them both this summer!

When you’re in Round Top, go to Royers Cafe. Try the pie!

On the baby bump. I think it’s a boy. I agree with Kathy Clark. You could name him/her Sawyer.
Madision Miller who married a Brown who had a son/daughter and named him/her Sawyer and then you have a tour and a baby named “Sawyer Brown”.
Mark will be a great PaP. Even if he’s still got the “Travelin Band” That I’ve seen getting closer to 600 times in the near future. I saw their first Fan Fair. First concerts with Kenny Rogers and Steve Warinner in Russell Springs, Kentucky. And the list started getting longer and longer.
Glad your feeling better. Love all your shows.
    Got them all taped.

I flew down from Montana to Round Top Texas with my 2 sisters this past April to the Antique Week. We had such a great time! Somehow we managed to get all our wonderful finds into luggage to take back home! Madison, I hope you had a fun time with your mom in Round Top, and got some great deals too!
